Penelope Darling: 6 Months

Weight: We haven't had her 6 month check-up yet, but my guess is 16 pounds! She really is getting so big, but is still just oh so bitty at the same time. I'm not sure how it works out that way.

Clothes: A couple of weeks ago, I finally put away her 0-3 month clothing, it was bittersweet! She is a bit behind in clothing sizing goes (everyone warned me that baby clothes all run small, but in our case, our baby just runs small.) she is now in 3-6 month clothing, but I think she's growing quicker than ever and this size wont last too long. It is getting to be more fun to dress her, though, since she lasts longer in outfits and can show off the cuteness a bit easier.

Likes: She still enjoys dropping that head of hers back and staring at the world upside down, and its still just as precious to watch. She also has discovered her tongue, fart noises, and smacking her gums together. She is an absolute daddy's girl, and lights up when he comes home. She loves bath time (as long as it is in the morning or afternoon, evening and getting wet is the last thing on her mind), sweet potatoes.

Dislikes: Being woken up is still the worst. She hates having a dirty diaper on (who could blame her?), nighttime baths, being in her carseat too much, butternut squash. You guys, apparently it is the WORST.

Social: Loves everyone. She is always smiling, except when she is groggy. Little miss P. Darling takes just as long as I do to wake up. Doesn't quite know how to play with other babies yet, so our playdates are still mom dates for sure.

Milestones: She sits up! All by herself! You guys, she sits up and plays with her toys for an hour or so at a time. I am so proud of her. She is still the little miss. independent that we saw poking through when she was first born. She plays by herself with her toys on the floor while I am able to get some work done. It really has changed everything.

Each month that goes by, I think to myself "this is the good part." and then each month that goes by, the "good part" gets better, and better.
