I am that girl that freaks out about every holiday and season change.
Last year I dragged my husband to Walgreen to decorate our home for Halloween. Decided we just had to host Thanksgiving, (which included a feast large enough for the block, church, and most of downtown Nashville to partake) and made 3 separate trips to Walmart because WE JUST DON'T HAVE ENOUGH CHRISTMAS LIGHTS DAVID! But this year is different, and I'm not quite finished with you yet, summer. I'm practically begging it to stay around a little big longer, and thankfully for my southern home, I'm able to get just that. BUT I know fall is looming, and a snow-less winter is after that. I'm trying (REALLY!) to get into it, I'm even going to Bath & Body Works to take advantage of their buy one get one sale today after work to stock up on some pumpkiney/appleish/crisp leaf scent. We'll see if that does the trick. If it doesn't work, then I'm putting my foot down, Summer. You'll just have to stick around!
In other news, David and I have been texting each other Downton Abbey quotes all day. I'm obsessed and SUCCESSFULLY got my husband into it as well. I know ladies, your jaw's are on the ground. I'll be holding a seminar next weekend on how to trick your husband into falling for your girlish ways.
